RE-LAYOUT TATA LETAK PRODUKSI DENGAN PENERAPAN ALGORITMA RANK ORDER CLUSTERING 2 (ROC2) UNTUK MEMINIMASI TOTAL JARAK PERPINDAHAN BAHAN

Aneka Mitra Indoguna is a manufacturing spare part company based on costumer requirement. The product were produced based on requirement of costumer for each month were: Common Idler, Impact Idler, Supporting Idler, Fan, Idler Frame and Fan. Those products have a similarity of design and manufacture process too.This research has been done to re-layout using Group Technology method by arranging production facilities (machine groups) to process a part of family at manufacture cell. Performance criteria to form a cell manufacture at group technology minimized a total distance moving material. Rank Order Clustering 2 were used as an algorithm in this research. The result from re-layout by using process layout of group technology, it was found that the reducing total distance moving material was 1.684,45 m with efficiency was round 75,47%.
